Poolside
Is draining:
Is that a drain? Or is it that other thing that you can hear the water sloshing around inside? I don't know since I don't have a pool of my own, and didn't grow up in one of those pool houses. Will there be more pool shots to come? I don't know. I do know it's been like bananas over here, even to the point that I barely even have time to develop film. So maybe there will be more pool shots to come. Then again, maybe I'll see what I can do. I'll talk to a man about a horse. A horse that develops film.

Just One of Those Shots
You know?
I mean, it's just one of those shots that I find myself liking, even though I'm not entirely sure what's going on with it. It's like there's all this stuff going on. There's these people walking, there's this chick on the phone, there's these mannequins that I find somewhat arousing...come to think of it, this photo has it all!

We Will Take Our Country Back
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes, I counted. There are 17 exclamation points down there):
Ahh, remember way back in October of 2011 when you'd be standing on the corner minding your own business and then all of a sudden there's like thousands of people walking from downtown to Times Square? And what's up with that, "The people united will never be defeated," chant? It doesn't even rhyme! I'm not sure I could ever put my support behind a movement that cant even get a decent rhyme scheme going.

The Streak
What were you expecting, Ray Stevens?
Well, here's that streak I was talking about. Now this film was Verichrome Pan from the 70s, and I used some ratty looking Diafine (5+5) on it. It almost looks like a drip down the side of the film. Now this was developed in an old FR tank, so there was no inverting, just twisting the little knob back and forth to agitate. Of course, I used more than the recommended amount of developer (500ml instead of 475ml), yet still, I got this on several of my negatives. I don't know what this is all about. I didn't have this trouble with another roll of the same film also using Diafine. Or maybe it was the fixer? The stop (which was just water, as per the Diafine recommendation), Maybe a lack of stoppage? It happened on nearly half of the negatives, and sometimes on consecutive shots. Maybe something with the camera (though I haven't had this issue before)?
Hmm....

Gravel Plant II
I told you we'd come back to it!
You see that light band on the left side there? I don't know what that's all about. It turned up on other pics too, and I have a feeling it might have to do with the developing process. I'll post another picture tomorrow which shows it off a bit better and I'll get more into it. Now I have to get back to watching the last episode of the heavy metal documentary on VH1. Prog rock, baby.

Gravel Plant Parking Lot
No relation to Heavy Metal Parking Lot:
Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Photoshop clone tool and how it's great for getting rid of dust? Trust me, I spent an hour de-dusting that parking lot with NatGeo on in the background. Yeah, it isn't a full de-dusting, but if I truly had nothing going on in my life, I would have.
Oh, who am I kidding...
